Useful tips for parents
We present the words of our dear teacher Father Tachat
"I'm surprised that late-night children in Armenia are awake. Sometimes we see 7-8 year olds waking up at 11pm, and in the US I should have been in bed at 9am at that age.
➡️Children must first learn order. And parents need to be aware that sleeping late can be detrimental to their children. The weaker the baby's sleep, the weaker the immune system.
➡️I often notice that the TV of Armenians is turned on from morning till night, even when there are no viewers. The children see everything, there is good, bad. We have to go back to all that, control what they should see, hear and what should not.
➡️When I was 10, there was no computer and no TV. My parents wondered every day what was assigned. I had to do my homework well. Then I played around our house, my family and I went back to the dailies. At the age of 7-8 we started playing chess, backgammon and other board games
➡️Every night before or after dinner, I read a Bible story to my children. Now my children do the same.
➡️Children, when they play computer games, they communicate with the device, there is no interpersonal relationship. He must also be consistent in this regard so that children are not cut off from the real world in a timely manner.
➡️In families, it is mainly the father who punishes. The mother is waiting for the father to return home, tell him everything, introduce him. But that should not be the case. "Parents need to 'parent' together."

Interview with a speech therapist
Dear parents of junior high school students, if your schoolchild has great difficulty reading or writing, makes many mistakes in written speech, and cannot repeat the syllables or sounds of a word when speaking, it is likely that the child has dysgraphia and dyslexia, which needs the work of a speech therapist. . :
Anna Abrahamyan, a speech therapist at the Kana Psychological Center, answers questions about dysgraphia and dyslexia.
Is dyslexia a disease or a characteristic? Is it true that these children are more talented than others?
Dyslexia is a partial disorder of the reading process, which involves the formation (disruption) of higher mental functions and is expressed by repeated errors of a stable nature.
Dyslexia occurs as a result of the formation of the owners of the mental functions that normally carry out the reading process (visual analysis and combination, spatial concepts, phonetic perception, phonetic analysis and combination, lexical underdevelopment of speech).
My main is not these children than others, but this problem is not considered more talented and to become.
There are many famous dyslexic people such as Agatha Christie, Winston Churchill, Woodrow Wilson, Walt Disney, Tom Cruise, Albert Einstein, Hans Christian Andersen and Alexander Bell etc.
When does dyslexia usually start to show?
Since dyslexia is a disorder of the reading process, it appears at school age, when the processes of writing and reading are formed;
Dyslexia makes it difficult to learn and remember letters and words.
Then it becomes difficult to read, to read letter by letter, to replace sounds, to miss the endings of words.
What are the characteristics of working with children with dyslexia?
When working with children with dyslexia, the degree, nature and type of expression of disorders are taken into account, which makes it possible to determine the correct direction of speech therapy - corrective work.
As well as individual conditions for each child during work.
What kind of exercises and tasks are done with such children?
Depending on the type of disorder.
Does overcoming this problem also depend on the environment and its attitude?
The environment factor is very message.
Let's start with school. the teacher, who must be aware, because in many cases dyslexia is perceived as "laziness" can affect the child's self-esteem and cause an inferiority complex.
And the right and competent teacher can promote speech therapy work and contribute to the most effective efficiency.
As more clear is the role of the parent, who must continue, not compare with other children, aware of his child's problem;
Teacher-professional-parent cooperative work is encouraged to avoid the above problems.
The same image is seen during the digraph.
Dysgraphia is a partial disorder of the writing process and is expressed by repeated errors of a stable nature.
Writing is closely related to the process and can be discussed only on the basis of its high level of development.
During dysgraphia, a child can make many mistakes when writing: "write the words together, miss letters, may have bad handwriting, etc."
It is very much that the teacher and the parent this problem version from the progress, when they turned to the bad specialists.
Is it completely surmountable or not?
Yes, depending on the degree and type of the problem, dyslexia can be completely overcome.
Are there many children with this problem in Armenia, or is it a phenomenon in Armenia?
There are no clear statistics, however, in Armenia, unfortunately, reading disorders are very common.
